About pUrNamA
BALINESE & INDIGENOUS WISDOM KEEPER
YOGA PHILOSOPHY TEACHER
SINGER & SONGWRITER
CEREMONIALIST
Born to a Swiss father & a Balinese mother,
I feel blessed to have grown up with two richly diverse cultures, religions & ways of life. This unique upbringing has widened my horizon, allowed me to see the world through different lenses, and fostered an open-heartedness that guides me to this day.

Also because of this I do not feel attached to merely one cultural identity in particular, though I have been shaped by many in this lifetime.
For me, the Earth transcends borders, and I find my belonging in Her.

My upbringing did not only bring blessings, but also posed many complex challenges.
Especially my teenage & young adult years were marked by pain, confusion, abuse, loneliness and depression. Feeling deeply misunderstood in my family and the environment I grew up in, I moved out of my parents’ house as soon as I reached 18 years old, on a quest of healing.

Guided by my intuition and the currents of life, I embarked on travels around the world. Struck by the beauty, creativity, and shared humanity of the people I encountered, I strongly believe in our interconnectedness and our ability to create positive change in the world.
We truly are one.

Art, music & community have always been my guiding lights.
They have been the medicine to help me get through the darkest of times.
From learning temple dance as a child in Bali, to drumming in Marrakech, to attending plant ceremonies in Peru – whenever I felt like I was straying too far away, these experiences brought me back to Source and the ancient wisdom in my soul.

This is why I am dedicated to be an artist - to share some of this light with you, and with the world.
I am deeply devoted to creating sacred spaces for people to gather,
united through the universal language & power of music and ceremony.
Through these, I aspire to strengthen our ties as human beings – both to each other and the natural world – and to enrichen the human experience, reminding of our ability to create heaven on earth.

May every step I take carve a fragment of a better world.
My missioN

We all have our own unique power.
The power to love. The power to inspire. The power to change.

Once we become aware of this power, we realize that it is in our hands to create a reality that we desire.
A world of harmony, abundance & peace.

My aim in creating sacred spaces and sharing the medicine of music & the wisdom of indigenous cultures that I’ve grown up with or learned from, is to raise our awareness and our consciousness to the ultimate truth that I devote myself to.
That we are loved, that we are free, and that we are infinite.

I am fully dedicated and in service to the means of life that bring people back home, back to themselves and their true soul. Awakening ancient memory, creating a world of community & togetherness.

My prayer is that through your visit into my online & offline spaces, for your life to get enriched in some way.
May you remember that you are the earth and the stars.

We are the seeds of freedom.
Let us spread & become the forests of change.
My Journey
My journey into medicine music began in 2016, during my extensive travels through Latin America at age 23.

Before this transformative chapter, my life appeared fairly conventional. I held a degree in hospitality and studied at Zurich University of Applied Sciences in the School of Management and Law. Yet, deep within, I always sensed something was missing.

During my time in Latin America, I immersed myself in diverse communities, volunteering and living in sacred spaces, and first started to teach yoga—a practice that has been part of my life since childhood—and exploring the world of medicine songs.

In early 2018, I delved deeper during a three-month stay in Morocco, studying music, helping out at events and discovering the rich culture of traditional Gnaoua music. It was there that I learned to play guitar and percussion under the guidance of African musicians who became my friends, supporters, and mentors. One of them Amine Fartoute, my guitar teacher who became my dear brother.

In 2017, while living in the depths of the Amazon jungle, I received a clear message: to return to Bali and reconnect with my ancestry and lineage.

Thus in 2018 I returned to Bali, where I have lived ever since.

Here, I completed my formal yoga teacher training with SOHA Yoga, guided by Daniela Mandala and Sharada Devi, both of whom belong to the lineage of Sri Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati.
To this day, I continue my studies of Vedic wisdom, Sanskrit, and mantras with Sharada.

Musically, I have been fortunate to learn from world-class artists here in Bali. I first started tapping into my voice with vocal alchemist Yin Ling as well as classical Indian music teacher Hari Bhakti Leo Dey, and legendary vocal artists and sound healing teachers Nestor and Charli Kornblum.

Additionally, I have explored traditional Greek songs with Marlia Coeur, a renowned vocal coach and multi-instrumentalist from Cyprus, and I'm learning sound healing from Susanne Anaya and Lola Lhamo. Singing with kirtan master Punnu Wasu and his father, Sevadar Babaji, has further refined my vocal skills, and I had the honor of supporting them in numerous kirtans, performances, and sound healings in 2021.

I have had the blessing to have collaborated with most of my teachers in some form or the other!
One of my most cherished collaborations has been with the internationally renowned kirtan group Hanuman Project. I first joined in 2020, offering Balinese wisdom transmissions, and later as a singer.

I’ve also been a guest teacher at Hanuman Project's EnChanted Retreats in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Other music teachers I have learned from are Paulina Magus, lead vocalist of Ilahi Sufi Qawwali, and Tahir Qawwal, leader of Fannah-Fi-Allah.
In 2022, I began studying emotional regulation and relational dynamics with The Embodied Awakening Academy. I participated in their Fundamentals of Tantra weekend and later assisted as both a musician and facilitator in their weekend immersions, as well as their weeklong Living Tantra Retreat, from 2022 until 2023.
That same year, I began assisting in medicine ceremonies. Later, I met and travelled with Mocha Noke Kuin, spiritual leader of the Noke Kuin, and received many transmissions of Amazonian tribal music and traditions.
Since 2023, I have been teaching Yoga Philosophy and Mantras at the 200HR Yoga Teacher Training of Bhakti Yoga Summer.

In 2024, I embarked on training in Trauma-Informed Plant Medicine Facilitation with Atira Tan.
The deepest well of my wisdom and inspiration comes from my Balinese ancestry.
My grandfather has served as the village priest of Bedulu until his retirement in 2023. For decades, he has conducted and overviewed different ceremonies and rites of passages for the people of our village. My family has carried out these sacred duties for countless generations, most probably hundreds of years. I feel honored to be his oldest granddaughter.

In our lineage, the title of village priest is traditionally passed to the eldest son. My mother as the eldest daughter does not receive this title, which instead falls on her younger brother, but nonetheless I feel the wealth of spiritual knowledge in my DNA.
Through meditation in sacred sites around my native village, studying scriptures passed down to me by my grandfather, and speaking with Balinese wisdom keepers, I continuously deepen my connection with this ancestral knowledge, which continues to guide and infuse all my offerings.

My family continues to teach me every day about community, family values, humility, and devotion.
