November 18-24 • North Bali
Altar of Her
Women’s Initation Retreat
into the Animate Goddess
Join Evy and Purnama on an initiation retreat into the Tantrik goddess tradition
In this 7-day retreat, we take the goddess off the altar of conceptualisation and feel her, sing with her, bath in her waters in ritual, prayer, offerings, creative art practices, somatics & sadhana at the sacred waters of Yeh Mampeh (also known as Les Waterfall) in northern Bali.
Through somatics, embodiment, mantra, ritual, prayer and inner process work we come into relationship with the goddess as a living, breathing, animate force of creation.
We will give offerings to the land as we journey to the sacred sites, softening into the bonds of sisterhood as we re-weave the broken chords of ancestral patterns, finding our way home into harmony with the sacred mandala.
We will bathe in the healing waters of Yeh Mampeh, pilgrim to ancient temples, learn to make traditional Balinese offerings with elders from the land and be in prayer and devotion to the land of Mama Bali.
Daily Sadhana, Embodiment journeys, voice liberation and inner process work will complete the retreat program.

Woman, you are the altar,
not the sacrifice.
Many ancient wisdom cultures have honored the Goddess for eons.
In the rivers and springs. In the cycles of the moon. In the wisdom of the body. In the mystery of birth, death, creation, and transformation.
Until for generations, women have been taught to sacrifice.
To make themselves smaller, tending to others' needs. To carry, hold, nurture, and give, often at the expense of their own vitality, truth, and sacredness.
This retreat is a rememberance and a reclamation of our innate śakti,
our power as women.
You are not here to diminish yourself. You are life itself. The prayer. The vessel. The temple. The sacred ground upon which creation unfolds.
For seven days, we gather amongst mountains, songs, prayers, and sisterhood.
To sit at the feet of the Goddess until we recognize Her in ourselves.

This retreat is for you if ...
... you miss living in a world that feels enchanted, alive, and animate.
... you long for deep human connections and yearn to be held in genuine sisterhood.
... something inside you is asking to slow down, listen deeply, and return to what truly matters.
... you feel called to pray, sing, create, express, grieve, celebrate, and remember alongside other women.
... you long for a spiritual path that honours the body, the voice, the heart, and the Earth as sacred.
You do not need to be an experienced practitioner, singer, yogi, or devotee. Only a willingness to show up with curiosity, openness, and a sincere heart. ♡

What awaits you:

Daily Devi Sadhana & Satsangs
Each day, we will journey into a different aspect of the Goddess through devotional practice, embodied teachings, journal reflections and asanas. Drawing from Tantrik philosophy and lived spiritual practice, these morning sessions invite the wisdom of the Devi from concept into direct experience, offering tools and insights that can continue to nourish your path long after the retreat.

Balinese Rituals & Offerings
Water is at the heart of Balinese spirituality and purification. Together we will immerse in the healing waters of waterfalls, springs, and sacred sites, engaging in ritual practices that invite cleansing, renewal, prayer, and deeper connection to the living spirit of the land.

Somatic & Embodiment Practices
The Goddess is not only found in temples and texts, but within the body itself. Through movement, breath, sensation awareness, and embodiment practices, we will cultivate a deeper relationship with our inner landscape, learning to listen to the wisdom that lives within.

Ceremonies & Initiations
Ceremony is one of humanity's oldest ways of marking transitions, deepening connection, and entering into relationship with the sacred. Throughout the retreat, we will gather in a variety of ceremonies inspired by both Balinese and devotional traditions, creating space for prayer, intention, celebration, and remembrance, stepping beyond ordinary time and into the mystery.

Voice Liberation & Sacred Song
The voice is one of our most powerful pathways into authenticity, devotion, and self-expression. Through guided practices, chanting, and in kirtan, we will gently open the voice, dissolve inhibitions, and reconnect with the joy and medicine of sound.

Sisterhood, Integration & Relaxation Time
Alongside the practices and pilgrimages, there will be spaciousness to simply be. Surrounded by mountains, the ocean in view, and in the company of like-spirited sisters, you will have time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with the natural rhythms that support healing and renewal.

You will leave with:
-
A deeper and more embodied relationship with the Goddess and her many faces.
-
Practical rituals, mantras, and devotional practices to continue nourishing your spiritual path at home.
-
Greater trust in your intuition, inner wisdom, and unique expression.
-
A more liberated relationship with your voice, creativity, and authentic self.
-
Renewed connection to your body as a source of guidance, power, and sacred intelligence.
-
Meaningful friendships and a circle of sisters who have witnessed and walked alongside your journey.
-
A deeper understanding of Balinese spiritual culture and its teachings of harmony, devotion, and reciprocity.
-
Memories of sacred sites, ceremonies, songs, prayers, and moments that will continue to live in your heart.
-
Greater clarity around what is ready to be released and what is ready to be welcomed into your life.
-
A sense of belonging—to yourself, to the Earth, and to something larger than the individual self.
Above all...
Leave with the remembrance that the Goddess is not separate from you. She is not only found in temples, myths, or ancient stories, but within your own body, your voice, your intuition, your courage, your tenderness, and your capacity to love. The journey home begins with remembering what has always been there. ♡
