Immerse into Balinese culture & philosophy, and learn how to make your own offerings in this workshop guided by Purnama and her aunt Ayu Parniasih.
The "canang", offerings made of palm leaves and filled with flowers, are present everywhere throughout the island and can not be missed. They are an intrinsic part of what makes the Balinese culture so unique, and the daily prayers help to maintain the spiritual nature and devotional energy of the island.
This is a workshop dedicated to this ancient tradition that dates back a thousand years. You will not only learn how to make Balinese offerings yourself, but also learn their history and Balinese philosophy. We will also explore how it can be translated into our daily lives, and the similarities with other cultures around the world.
The rite of giving offerings will not only foster a deeper connection with the island of Bali and its inhabitants, but also with our ancestors and the worlds around and within us. Let yourself be enriched by this sacred art!

This workshop is held by Purnama, her aunt Ayu Parniasih, and her cousin Cahaya Wedha.
Purnama has been guiding cultural immersions in Bali for the past 7 years, continually refining her offerings with each experience. Alongside this, she has deeply immersed herself in indigenous wisdom traditions from around the world, participating in countless ceremonies with elders and wisdom keepers. These experiences have enriched her work, allowing her to weave together universal threads of remembrance and reverence. She also shares her love for philosophy by teaching Vedic wisdom in Yoga Teacher Trainings across the globe.
Ayu Parniasih was born and raised in Ubud before marrying into Purnama’s family and settling in their ancestral village of Bedulu. She and her daughter, Cahaya Wedha, are both traditional Balinese temple dancers, carrying forward the sacred lineage of movement and devotion. Since 2020, they have been collaborating with Purnama in her cultural offerings, sharing the beauty and depth of Balinese tradition.

What other people have said:
"I thoroughly enjoyed the offerings workshop. The most valuable thing for me was the way the significance about the elements of the offerings were explained, how the offerings relate to the balance of life in appeasing and thanking the spirit world, and more. I have been coming to Bali for 15 years, and have tried many times to learn more about the offerings. Your offerings class gave me what I was seeking ... and so much more. I would happily attend again. It should almost be mandatory for not just visitors to Bali, but expats also, to attend your very informative and enjoyable offerings session. Thank you so much for enlightening me in something I have been very curious about for a long time, but, until now, hadn't yet found the right person/place to provide the information!

"I have been going to many ceremonies and just did what I was told to do, but now there is this deep sense of connection. I'm so grateful for Purnama to share her gifts!."

"I’m so glad I heard my intuition and went to the workshop that day. A stronger force helped me to be there and now I understand why. Not to sound too woo-woo but seriously.. ever since I did the workshop, started doing my daily offerings, going to the temples with the offerings, it feels like a “portal” opened in my life. I understood why Bali called me 6 years ago and so many other things.. like really life changing things. I just had one of the most beautiful important weeks of my entire life and I believe is due to everything you and your family shared with us that day. So really, Purnama, there are no words that can describe my gratitude to you. But I’ll make sure to always keep an extra prayer for you and your family. 🙏🏼 It was a really unique and special experience that I wish everyone that comes to Bali could have it to learn how honor everything that She gives freely.
