Immerse into Balinese philosophy and spirituality in this enriching cultural experience.
Whether you’re visiting Bali for the first time or have long felt a connection to the island, this is a rare opportunity to step beyond the surface and into the living heart of its people and traditions! 🌺
We will begin by exploring the essence of Balinese spirituality hat weaves through every aspect of daily life. You’ll then be guided through a hands-on experience of creating your own canang - the small, beautiful offerings made of palm leaves and flowers that adorn every temple and street corner.
These offerings are more than decoration; they are daily acts of prayer and gratitude that sustain the island’s spiritual energy. As you craft your own, you’ll learn about the ancient wisdom behind this thousand-year-old tradition. Though deeply rooted in Balinese culture, these teachings speak to something universal - reminding us of the sacred in everyday life, and guiding us back home to presence, gratitude, and connection.

Our journey continues with a visit to the Pura Desa (village temple) and the Beji (holy spring) to make an offering and receive the purifying waters - a simple yet profound moment of communion with the sacred. Lastly, there is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious Balinese dinner in the family compound!
Let yourself be touched by this sacred art, and carry home not only a deeper sense of harmony, but also a piece of Bali’s beauty and wisdom within you. 🌿✨

Facilitators
This workshop is held by Purnama and her Balinese family - her aunt Ayu Parniasih, her uncle Ngurah Pecus, and their daughter Cahaya Wedha.
Purnama has been guiding cultural immersions in Bali for the past 7 years, continually refining her offerings with each experience. Alongside this, she has deeply immersed herself in indigenous wisdom traditions from around the world, participating in countless ceremonies with elders and wisdom keepers. These experiences have enriched her work, allowing her to weave together universal threads of remembrance and reverence. She also shares her love for philosophy by teaching Vedic wisdom in Yoga Teacher Trainings across the globe.
Ayu Parniasih was born and raised in Ubud before marrying into Purnama’s family and settling in their ancestral village of Bedulu. She and her daughter, Cahaya Wedha, are both traditional Balinese temple dancers, carrying forward the sacred lineage of movement and devotion. Since 2020, they have been collaborating with Purnama in her cultural offerings, sharing the beauty and depth of Balinese tradition, and inspiring with their deep devotion.
